My Holidays in Food Part I

I thought it might be fun to share various sights (and foods) from my summer vacation. Our first stop was Ljubljana, Slovenia, where we toured the city and explored churches, castles, and the open air markets.

I saw this man coming toward us and was dying to know what he was carrying in his basket.

I don't know what they're called in Slovenian, but looks like wild blueberries to me.

Some of the best looking berries I've ever seen.

And get a load of those mushrooms.

What do we have here?  A Milk O Mat!

If this is as fascinating for you as it was for me, read more here.  The machine dispenses fresh, raw milk that  is non-homogenized, non-pasteurized, and completely organic.

  1. That is so funny. When we were in Salzburg a few years ago we were driving in the country and came across one of these. I was so fascinated by this. I made Kevin stop at it every time we went into town.
